Episode #9: "An Outlook on 2016"

Transcript

On this episode of the "Simply Brilliant Show", we're going to talk about 2016, and the opportunities that we see, and a way that we can all help everyone to grow as individuals and as a company to satisfy everyone's dreams.

First off, let me welcome everybody into 2016. It's January 1st, New Year's Day, and I'm standing on what's supposed to be a ski slope. As you can tell there's very little snow, although you can see some snow falling now and that's fantastic. Any of you that know me, or my family, or have watched any of the episodes know that skiing is a pretty important part of our social activity and social life. And all three of my daughters ski race, and so I'm standing on what's supposed to be a ski slope.

Behind me, way in the distance you can probably see some man-made snow that's blown on to one hill and all three of my kids are actually out there doing ski training in adverse conditions. But as we like to say when you get given lemons you make lemonade. And so, while the snow gods haven't really participated with us in the winter of 2015 and into 2016, we're doing the best that we can. We're doing some dry land training. The kids are getting cardio and fitness, and now they're doing drills on the limited snow conditions that we have. And so, we're just making the best of it. But I must admit, this should be beautiful and white, gorgeous and snow all over the place and here I am standing in a beautiful space, muddy, green, a valley nonetheless.

Anyway, on to 2016. I want to wish everybody a happy and healthy 2016. The business, as you know, is changing directions a little bit. We're really going where the market has led us, and an opportunity that we see to service Fortune 500 companies, and event and wedding planners. And becoming a one-stop shop with one phone call satisfying all of their global transportation requirements. And really designing and becoming a integral part, a partner with them as they plan these world class events. And so, long are the days when they need to call around, and ask for different prices and different vehicles from different vendors and piece this entire thing together.

What we've been doing, and what we're now focused entirely on, is working with these individuals to understand what success looks like. So help them describe and define what success looks like on the transportation end, with their event, whether it be a wedding, or a product introduction, or the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas. We're working with several world-class companies later this month.

And so, what we're talking about is the number of people, the type of transportation that's required, what do they need, and then we put it all together. We're going to use sedans in these cases, we're going to use vans in other cases. We've got mini-buses, some part of the group is going to a meal. Other parts are going for entertainment. And so we really become a one-stop shop where we understand what it is they're trying to do. We help design it, we curate it, we put it all together for them so they can make one phone call and get everything satisfied. And we can do that now on a global basis.

So as we get corporate understanding, we start working with the same people time and time again, they can call us and say we're going to replicate this part that we did here and this part that we did there. And so we're the first design and production agency, that we're aware of, in the world. And we're teaming up and partnering with some world-class companies to satisfy their needs and demands. And we think this is an unbelievable opportunity and a terrific chance. And so, we're really, really excited.

We hope you've got wonderful ambitions and dreams in 2016 that you're going to make a reality. And as you can see here there's people who are now, like hiking, but they're supposed to be skiing. But everybody's doing whatever it is that they can to, to remain active and productive, and upbeat, and excited about the time away from work. So we really anticipate growing our relationships, developing a stronger network, working with fewer people but working with them much more closely, intelligently in a true partnership.

And if this sounds like something that would be of interest to you, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you, and learn more about your needs. Whether they be immediate or in the future. And to give you a couple of examples, we're working with some folks now that are doing some product introductions, and this may occur in multiple cities. And actually, internationally. So some domestic and some abroad.

We're working with certain companies that are putting together corporate retreats for salespeople where there's 180 people coming from all over the country. And they are being trained and educated and also entertained. And so, we have many, many flights coming in and entire manifests and we have to get them to an off-site resort location. And once they're there, we transport them around and make their entertainment and transportation flawless.

And so, what we're doing is really becoming part of the event. Not just being an accessory, or a problem, or a headache, or a nightmare. And, what we're finding is, people seem to not prioritize the ground transportation. It tends to be something they procrastinate on, leave to the last minute, don't budget intelligently or properly. And that's self-reinforcing, right?

What ends up happening is that the transportation becomes problematic instead of it being part of the event, it's a distraction or something that doesn't really goes as smoothly as the rest of the event. And the opportunity is for us to partner with companies earlier on, earlier in their budget planning phases. Really understand how the ground transportation can become part of the event itself and part of the experiential marketing which is so popular right now. Where people are spending to, not for luxury, not for lavish, but to create an experience, a memorable and remarkable experience. And the ground transportation can actually be a very significant component in that.

So we would love to educate you a little bit more, learn more about your needs. So please contact one of our consultants and we'll take it from there.
